A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

HFA Families,

Last Friday night was a memorable evening for our Little White Tigers! It was so much fun to watch our K–8 cheerleaders take the field at Escondido High School for a halftime performance with ECHS Cheer. We had a record 76 Little White Tigers participate in this year’s cheer clinic! Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable experience for our students. Seeing our youngest Tigers all the way through our middle schoolers out there together was pretty special.

As a reminder, the grading period ended Friday, September 18. Parents of students in grades 4–8 should have received an email encouraging you to check your child’s current grades.

October parent-teacher conferences are also right around the corner. All families are asked to sign up for a conference with their child’s teacher. These conversations are such an important part of our partnership with families and give us time to celebrate growth, talk through any areas of concern, and work together to support each student’s success.

MEAL SERVICE PROGRAM AT HERITAGE FLEX ACADEMY

Breakfast Reminder
Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 am.
No breakfasts will be served after the warning bell.

Parent Communication & Student Participation
Please talk with your child each morning about whether they plan to participate in breakfast and/or lunch that day. This helps our team prepare accurate meal counts and ensures your child knows your expectations.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
If your child has any food allergies or dietary needs, please ensure we have a doctor-signed Medical Statement Form on file. Families may also submit a Fluid Milk Substitution Form (parent-signed) if they prefer lactose-free, soy, or oat milk.

NEW & TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION

ATTENTION MENU UPDATE: On Tuesday, September 30, the lunch menu changed from a Chef’s Salad to a Turkey Ranch Wrap.  

ALL K-5 PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Come join us as for our next CONSORTIO: Learning Together. Our kindergarten through fifth grade parents and students are invited to join us on Monday, September 28, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the HFA courtyard. We will work together using our key questions of inquiry to guide students through narration to create beautiful history notebooks. Bring your history notebooks, pencil, crayons, and colored pencils. Hope to see you there!

SAVE THE DATE FOR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: Thursday, October 8: Join us for a special evening as we kick off the school year with our Classical Arts Gallery Walk, a celebration of student creativity and the beauty of classical education. Step inside classrooms transformed into mini galleries and experience classical art through masterpieces created by students across all grade levels. During the evening, Executive Director Shawn Roner and Principal Sandi Knapp will share how we are cultivating truth, goodness, and beauty at Heritage Flex Academy. You’ll also discover the important role you play in your child’s classical education and in helping us build a strong, connected school community. We look forward to welcoming you to campus for an evening of art, connection, and celebration.

ACADEMIC ADVISORS CONNECTION

CHECK-IN #1 FOR GRADES TK-5 is this week, September 29, 30 and October 1, 2.  Be sure you have completed and checked all of your student’s work. This work is listed on the assignment sheet sent by your Academic Advisor last Monday. Please contact your Academic Advisor if you have any questions about Check-In.

Student Check-Ins will be split by last name on each path. Last names A-L will bring Check-In on the T/W they attend class. Last names M-Z will bring their Check-In on the TH/F they attend class.

 We can’t wait to see all the great work you are doing at home!
