A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Heritage Flex Academy Families,

Thank you for helping our students celebrate International Dot Day last week while following our dress code. It was especially fun to see the students decorating the campus with dots. Your participation made the day even more enjoyable for our students.

It was also wonderful to see so many families at our first Consortio gathering. Students enjoyed engaging in hands-on science explorations, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined us.

This week, we’ll continue practicing our emergency procedures with another evacuation drill. The drill will take place jointly with Heritage Junior High so students and staff on both campuses can practice responding safely and confidently.

MEAL SERVICE PROGRAM AT HERITAGE FLEX ACADEMY

Heritage Flex Academy offers free breakfast and free lunch for all students. There is no advance sign up. Menus are subject to change, and updates will be posted on the monthly menu as soon as they become available. To view the full menu, select “Breakfast/Lunch Menu” in the quick links above.

Breakfast Reminder
Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 am.
No breakfasts will be served after the warning bell.

Parent Communication & Student Participation
Please talk with your child each morning about whether they plan to participate in breakfast and/or lunch that day. This helps our team prepare accurate meal counts and ensures your child knows your expectations.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
If your child has any food allergies or dietary needs, please ensure we have a doctor-signed Medical Statement Form on file. Families may also submit a Fluid Milk Substitution Form (parent-signed) if they prefer lactose-free, soy, or oat milk.

NEW Update September Menu

NEW & TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION

SISTER PROJECT: Applications are officially closed for Sister Project 2026/27, we are no longer accepting any more Sisters from the ECHS, HJH, or HFA.

STUDENT PICTURES DUE: If you would like to order school portraits, the final deadline to not have to be charged an extra handling fee is this Tuesday. Be sure to log into Gerady to select which photo you would like to be in the yearbook. 

UNIFORM REMINDER: Any day your student is on campus, they should be in their school uniform—even if it is not one of their regularly scheduled school days. This includes Mondays for Power Hour, Yearbook and Logic Classes, and Consortio, as well as any other day they come to campus for tutoring. If they’re on campus, they’re in uniform! Thank you for helping us keep this consistent.

A NOTE REGARDING SCHOOL LUNCHES: To ensure our students have a focused and uninterrupted learning environment, we kindly ask parents to avoid dropping off lunches at the main office. While we know life gets busy, midday deliveries create significant logistical challenges. Due to high office volume, we cannot guarantee that dropped-off meals will reach students before their scheduled lunch period ends. To help your student have a smooth lunch break, please ensure your child arrives at school with a packed lunch in the morning or chooses a lunch provided by our school-lunch program. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our front office efficient and our classrooms free of distractions!

SAVE THE DATE FOR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: Thursday, October 8: Join us for a special evening as we kick off the school year with our Classical Arts Gallery Walk, a celebration of student creativity and the beauty of classical education. Step inside classrooms transformed into mini galleries and experience classical art through masterpieces created by students across all grade levels. During the evening, Executive Director Shawn Roner and Principal Sandi Knapp will share how we are cultivating truth, goodness, and beauty at Heritage Flex Academy. You’ll also discover the important role you play in your child’s classical education and in helping us build a strong, connected school community. We look forward to welcoming you to campus for an evening of art, connection, and celebration.

ACADEMIC ADVISORS CONNECTION

This week marks the end of the first grading period. For grades 4-8, the grades posted in ParentVue are just a snapshot of your student's work up to this point. This is a great opportunity to reflect on your student's progress so far this school year. Remember that your academic advisors are here to support you and your student. We would love to meet with you to discuss how we can best support your family on your homeschool journey.

FastBridge Testing for all 2nd–8th grade students will take place on Tuesday, September 22, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at the Flex Home Learning campus. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, please do so as soon as possible so we know who to expect. RSVP HERE.
