A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Greetings HFA Families,

I hope you had a chance to see Footloose over the weekend—what a joy to watch so many of our HFA students shine on stage. Congratulations to all of our performers on their stellar work.

We are looking forward to Disney/Superhero Day next Thursday and Friday—always a fun opportunity for a little creativity and school spirit. Please remember to follow free dress guidelines and refer to the dress code; no masks or toy weapons are permitted for superhero attire.

We will also welcome the Wooden Wins assemblies this week, centered on our virtue of the month: confidence.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Sincerely,

Sandi Knapp, Principal

MEAL SERVICE PROGRAM AT HFA

Heritage Flex Academy offers free breakfast and free lunch for all students. There is no need to sign up in advance.

April Meals - Nutritional information is found in a link at the top of the calendar

Breakfast Reminder
Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 am.
No breakfasts will be served after the warning bell.

Parent Communication & Student Participation
Please talk with your child each morning about whether they plan to participate in breakfast and/or lunch that day. This helps our team prepare accurate meal counts and ensures your child knows your expectations.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
If your child has any food allergies or dietary needs, please ensure we have a doctor-signed Medical Statement Form on file. Families may also submit a Fluid Milk Substitution Form (parent-signed) if they prefer lactose-free, soy, or oat milk.

ATTENTION ALL CURRENT 6TH GRADERS

As we prepare for a successful middle school journey, we’d like to remind you of an important health requirement for your child’s upcoming 7th grade year.

The Tdap booster vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) is required by state law for all students entering 7th grade. To avoid any delays in your child’s school schedule next year, we encourage you to:

  • Schedule your child’s Tdap booster appointment as soon as possible
  • Submit proof of vaccination to the front office ASAP

If your child has already received the vaccine, please make sure the school has the updated immunization record on file. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact Sarah Sinohui ssinohui@amhcs.org.

Music in Action

The students did a great job exhibiting the virtue of confidence in Music in Action last week! It's always fun to see their creativity and their talents. We had instruments like the harmonica, piano, violin, and accordion, some fun music videos, live dances and live singing.

Our final Music in Action for the year will be week 37. Please email any videos as soon as your student completes them!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at rpeterson@amhcs.org

Confidence

I am confident. I am sure of myself and my abilities. I am not arrogant or think I am superior to others. I do the right thing, despite what others might think of me.
