    Week 29: March 16-20

    A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

    Dear HFA Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to the many families who joined us last Monday, March 9, for our New Parent Orientation. We were especially glad to welcome current HFA families who are enrolling a new sibling for the first time. If you were unable to attend this required meeting, we recommend joining the March 25 campus tour, which will include an opportunity to visit our Transitional Kindergarten classroom. If you would like a copy of the presentation slides from the orientation, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to share them with you.

Please also plan to join us Monday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the American Spirit Theater at Escondido Charter High School for an important parent education evening. We are pleased to welcome Mr. William Perales from the University of Dallas, who will lead a discussion on Heritage Flex Academy’s classically inspired approach to education and the essential partnership between parents and the school.

This evening will explore how our curriculum seeks to form the whole child—cultivating strong reading, writing, and reasoning while also nurturing character, curiosity, and a love of truth, goodness, and beauty. We hope you will join us for this meaningful conversation about the shared work of educating our students.

Finally, a reminder that a Save the Date for our Spring Showcase on March 23 was sent last week. We are looking forward to watching our students take the stage in their first all-school performance, and it promises to be a wonderful evening celebrating the talents and hard work of our students.

    With Kind Regards,

    Sandi Knapp

    Principal

    Heritage Flex Academy

    POISE

I am full of poise. I stay true to my deepest self. I do not allow external forces to control how I act or feel. I am not thrown off by events in my life.

“Most people think of poise as calm, self-assured dignity; but I call it just being you.” -Coach John Wooden
