What a wonderful evening we shared last Thursday at Back to School Night! Thank you to all the families who joined us—it was such a joy to see our school community come together to celebrate the start of the year. 2027-2028 SCHOOL YEAR LOTTERY INFORMATION
Lotteries for the 2027-2028 school year will open on October 13, 2026 for all programs. Applications are not required for currently enrolled students, but new siblings must submit a lottery application.

MEAL SERVICE PROGRAM AT HERITAGE FLEX ACADEMY
Heritage Flex Academy offers free breakfast and free lunch for all students. There is no need to sign up in advance.
Please remember the meals are subject to change. Updates will be posted on the monthly menu as soon as they become available. Please be sure to check the most current version of the calendar for the most up-to-date menu information. Breakfast Reminder Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 am. No breakfasts will be served after the warning bell.
Parent Communication & Student Participation Please talk with your child each morning about whether they plan to participate in breakfast and/or lunch that day. This helps our team prepare accurate meal counts and ensures your child knows your expectations.
Allergies & Dietary Restrictions If your child has any food allergies or dietary needs, please ensure we have a doctor-signed Medical Statement Form
on file. Families may also submit a Fluid Milk Substitution Form
(parent-signed) if they prefer lactose-free, soy, or oat milk.

Hello families! Our 1st Music in Action for the school year is coming up in week 11 (Oct 20th
/21st
). I've included some information about it below:
Music in Action
Who: Your students! (it is completely optional)
What: A time for students to share with their class a musical talent (a song, playing an instrument, dance, poetry, chant, music video, cheer, etc.)
When: Oct 20th
/21st
during music class (1:30-2:00 min. max)
Why: promotes performing, encourages having courage to stand in front of people & also teaches students how to be a good audience member
If playing an instrument, your student will need to bring it to school (or they can record themselves and send me the video via email). I am planning to bring a keyboard for any pianists that want to share their talent :)

Thank you for your hard work at home. Your effort makes such a difference in your child’s life.
Conferences started last Monday. It is a great time to meet with your child’s classroom teacher and share those successes and challenges and sync up what is working well, and then build on those successes. AAs are not usually part of your conferences with the teachers. If you would like to meet with your Academic Advisors, please contact us through the emails linked below to schedule a meeting. We are always eager to support you throughout your homeschool journey.
Week 10 is already here, and our October conferences are continuing for two more weeks! Conferences this week are Tuesday, October 13 - Thursday, October 15. Please check the weekly email being sent out tomorrow to confirm your scheduled time, and let me know if you need to make any adjustments. Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s successes, discuss challenges, and work together to build on what’s going well. I look forward to meeting with you!

Join us for our next Art in the Park, where we’ll learn about artist Paul Cézanne and complete a simple art project inspired by his work. If you have passes or are taking advantage of Kids Free October, it's worth experiencing the free corn maze, live performers, themed food and drink, and fall decor throughout the park.
